Now Accepting Applications for the Newly Established Advancement of Women and Girls Commission 

The City of South El Monte is accepting applications from interested residents wishing to serve on the Advancement for Women and Girls Commission. Applications are now being accepted from January 25, 2023, through March 2, 2023. Deadline is Thursday, March 2, 2023, by 5:30 p.m.

Term

Term for the following commission ends December 31, 2023:

Five (5) Vacancies

Advancement for Women and Girls Commission – Five (5) positions including one senior (55 and over) and one youth (between the ages of 16-17). 

The Commission shall act in an advisory capacity to the City Council in all matters pertaining to advancement of women and girls. Meetings will be held quarterly, time and date to be determined. 

NOTE: All commissions subject to a Live Scan. You must be a South El Monte resident to be considered, once appointed, someone from Human Resources will contact you regarding the Live Scan. City employees are not eligible to serve on commissions.

Commission applications may be obtained Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., at the Reception Desk, City Hall, 1415 Santa Anita Avenue, South El Monte or downloaded below.

The deadline for accepting applications is Thursday, March 2, 2023, by 5:30 p.m. Electronic applications will not be accepted. Return application either by mail or drop off to Reception Desk at City Hall.
