The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department now accepts limited property-related reports online. The Sheriff’s Online Reporting and Tracking System (SORTS) has been created for the convenience of the public they serve. Citizens can submit these reports via computer or a smartphone 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Through the use of technology, citizens can submit a report to document limited property-related incidents and receive a copy of the report via email.
SORTS is not intended to replace their current tradition of serve to the public, but to enhance it by providing an additional option.
No emergency reports or tips will be taken through this system. For emergencies or a crime in progress, please call 911.
All LASD stations and units will be processing these reports individually.
