Sandbags

In need of sandbags? Sand is provided by the City of South El Monte and sandbags are provided by the Los Angeles County Fire Department, and are made available for South El Monte residents at the following Fire Station:

*Sand is located on the side of the Fire Station (Edwards Avenue & Rush Street).

Downed Trees, Large Debris & Roadway Obstructions

Downed trees and/or large debris obstructing walkways or roadways should be immediately reported to the City of South El Monte Public Works Department by calling 626-579-6540 during regular business hours (Monday through Thursday; 7 am to 5:30 pm). Please call the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Temple Station Dispatch at 626-285-7171 during holiday closures and after-business hours.

Downed Wires

Heavy rainstorms and windy conditions may cause power lines to fall, creating hazardous conditions. Stay away and call 911.
