Greater Los Angeles County Vector Control DistrictThe Greater Los Angeles County Vector Control District (GLACVCD) provides vector control services to the City of South El Monte. Vector control is the protection of public health through the identification, prevention, and control of pests, such as the Asian tiger mosquito. Mosquitoes in South El Monte have the potential to transmit infectious diseases such as the West Nile Virus, Chikungunya, and Dengue Fever.

Mosquito Problems & Dirty Pools

If you experience any mosquito problems or notice a dirty pool in your neighborhood, please call GLACVCD at 562-944-9656 or submit an online service request. Residents may remain anonymous when submitting a request. All of our services, including mosquitofish for your ponds and fountains, are free.
